Latoya S. Massey is a Brooklyn native who began her career in education over 20 years ago after she graduated from Wesleyan University with a Bachelor of Science degree.

She was selected to be a member of the New York City Teaching Fellows and immediately began working with the students from Bushwick Brooklyn while earning her master’s Degree in Education from Pace University.

Ms. Massey’s educational experiences with urban youth has provided her with an understanding of the importance of early intervention and guidance to support student’s academic success and their college readiness.

Currently, Ms. Massey is completing her dissertation for her doctorate in Educational Leadership and serves as an educational consultant for several organizations/schools. Ms. Massey believes that socioeconomic factors should not hinder a student’s ability to perform both educationally and professionally. Urban students can be afforded high quality learning opportunities that prepare them for their future.

Ms. Massey looks forward to continuing to develop strong relationships with educators, policy makers and organizations that can add value to and contribute towards achieving her overall mission of providing the “think outside the box” mindset children will need for the 21st century while allowing them the autonomy to design and implement their own educational paths.
