This is the beginning of your 4-year program at Innovation, which prepares you to be successful in and out of high school. This class will focus on developing your reading, writing, inquiry, collaboration, and organization/time management skills. At the end of your first year, you will participate in a service project that helps you make a difference in a community.

Career Exploration
In this course, you will be using Naviance to help you connect your interests to real world careers. One assessment is the Strengths Explorer. Even though it may seem like a lot of questions, the results will help you get an idea of careers you would be good at. The picture below shows you what it looks like when you log in:
Extracurricular Activities
If you are still unsure what you are interested in, participate in extracurricular activities in or out of school. Extracurricular activities include: sports, clubs, or after-school program. Remember it also looks good on your resume!

Being First in College
The pressure is high and you may feel like all eyes are on you. This may or may not be a good thing, but you are not the only one. Take a look at videos of college students that were first in their families to go to college.
