This sophomore writing seminar continues to develop your writing, inquiry, collaboration, and reading skills across content areas, but also goes more in depth to the college and career research. Like in 9th grade, you will complete a service project with a written and visual component.

PSAT

On March 4, 2020, you will be taking the Preliminary Scholastic Aptitude Test or PSAT exam. In 11th grade scoring well on this exam will qualify you for National Merit scholarships, so preparing is important! Below is the general format for the exam and free personalized PSAT prep. (Hint: Doing well in school also helps you do this!)

The exam take 2 hours and 10 minutes to complete and it has 5 parts.

–  Two 25-minute critical reading sections

– Two 25-minute math sections

– One 30-minute writing skills section
