Blizzard of Talent at Innovation’s Holiday Showcase

Innovation students and staff lit up the stage at the wonderful Holiday Showcase on December 17th. They electrified the audience with their singing, rapping, dancing, poetry and cheerleading. Production details, including stage decorations, music, sound and light were artfully managed by staff and students.

An event like this one does not happen without extensive preparation. Expressive Arts teachers Damen Heyward and Shawn Smith coached our students through “countless hours of rehearsals”, according to Anna Sgherzi, Innovation’s Art Department Chairperson. Damen replied: “Shawn and I are so grateful to help our students see that performance and character will take them far in life, and not just on the stage!”
