Excitement was in the air (and on the plates) at Innovation’s Students vs. Parents cooking competition Wednesday, November 20th. Special guest Maria Petridis (Winner of Chopped on Food Network!) and our very own food enthusiasts were blown away by our Chefs-in-Training’s hard work, professionalism, and creativity.
Innovation students teamed up with their parents and brought their best home-cooked recipes (making our judges very happy!). Stay tuned for our next culinary competition – Students vs. Teachers!
Our Warrior volleyball team tasted victory Friday night against Achievement First in two matches scoring 25-10 and 25-11.
After a long train ride to Atlantic Avenue in Brooklyn, our ladies showed up with skill, grace, and grit – defeating the home team two matches in a row. Thanks to all of our athletes for showing the true Warrior spirit, and to our coaches Chris and Diana for guiding these ladies to another victory away from home. GO WARRIORS!
Innovation students had a chance to learn from volunteers at one of the world’s largest consulting firms, Deloitte, this Friday during their annual Impact Day.
As a part of our ongoing partnership between SEP and Deloitte, over 30 volunteers visited our math & science classes on Friday. Deloitte hosted an innovation workshop – describing the consulting industry, how it relates to social media, and impacts technology – and encouraged our students to think like consultants and become better problem solvers.
Innovation would like to thank all Deloitte volunteers for spending quality time with our students and making a huge impact here at our school!
On Thursday, April 11th, all Innovation students visited nearby colleges and universities, taking tours and learning about college life! Some of the colleges we visited include William Patterson, College of Mount St. Vincent, NY Film Academy, APEX, CUNY Queens, Adelphi University, Lehman, York, & more!
